Casino Royal is the maiden voyage for Daniel Craig in the next generation of Bond actors. Ironically it is set at the beginning of 007's career in his very first mission. He is an 0 trying to earn 00 status. The new/old James Bond must stop Le Chiffre, a banker to the world's terrorist organizations, from winning a high-stakes poker tournament at Casino Royale in Montenegro, all the while fighting off Le Chiffre's henchmen and seducing beautiful women, and let's not forget to stay alive. From the opening chase scene to the disturbing chair torture this movie will keep you on the edge of your seat. This incarnation of Bond has grown with the times and is not just satisfied with bringing down the bad guy and getting the girl, but doing it with extreme prejudice. Along with the explosions and gunplay that inevitably get bigger with each new incarnation, this bond truly kicks ass and will not shy away from blatantly shooting an unarmed evildoer in the melon while supporting his trademark deadpan smirk. The first chase scene construction site should be mentioned. Although this movie was a little lengthy at 144 minutes, and there could have been more hot chicks, Casino Royal is an above average Bond flick and definitely worth the price of admission.

Overall we gave this movie an A- rating and would recommend seeing this movie at full price with pop-corn, soda and even a date.
